Fronius monitoring tool with Wireless feature
18.09.2007
The photovoltaic system monitoring feature is an important and exciting part of the system. However, it often requires costly and sometimes bothersome additional cabling. Fronius has solved this problem with a simple solution.
The new Fronius wireless transceiver sends data wirelessly from inverter to PC. This handy wireless module consists of two components. One connects to the Datalogger (or another DatCom component) and the other connects to a PC or laptop. This does away with costly cabling and there is no more drilling into the wall. It is also especially practical since you can move your PC from room to room.
The all-purpose wireless module can be connected to a large display, all interface components as well as a Datalogger. This intelligent device automatically recognizes its counterpart, doing away with additional configuration effort.
The Fronius wireless transceiver was specially developed for Fronius DatCom products. It has a range of up to 30 m (98 ft) in buildings and up to 200 m (656 ft) out in the open.
It is available in a card or box version and can be connected to either a RS-232 or USB interface (the card version - inserted into the inverter - is only available with a RS-232- interface).
